Review

This is official description

Proxifier is a program that allows network applications that do not support working through proxy servers to operate through an HTTPS or SOCKS proxy or a chain of proxy servers. There are many network applications that do not support working through proxy servers and thus cannot be used behind a LAN or firewall(s). These can compromise corporate privacy and lead you to many other restrictions. Proxifier solves all of these problems and gives you the opportunity to work with your favorite software without any restrictions. Additionally, it lets you gain extra control over network security, create a proxy tunnel and add more power to network functionality.

The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 2.9

Proxifier is a networking tool for Windows and Mac OS X computers. It allows you to use proxy servers for certain applications. When you configure a proxy server to work with your web browser, only your web browser will be able to use it, and if you want to use it with other applications, first, they have to support a proxy and, second, you have to add the proxy to them manually.

Proxifier allows applications on your system to work through a proxy, even if they don't natively support a proxy connection. Once Proxifier is running, all the applications in your system will route traffic through your configured proxy. When you have a working proxy configured and applications start using it, they will show on a list within Proxifier, which will display their target IP address the bytes sent and the bytes received. This is good for logging what applications do within your system.

Proxifier can't grab proxy servers from a list, which means you have to do it manually. Also, it won't scroll through servers when one is down. One thing that you can do is use multiple "chained" proxy servers for extra security.
  • System-wide support for proxies.
  • Proxy checker.
  • Easy to use.
  • No support for proxy lists and automatic selection.
